RRHI’s acquisition of Premiumbikes allows RRHI to tap into an underpenetrated market and we believe that this acquisition could be earnings accretive for the company. In consideration of this, we reiterate our BUY rating on RRHI with a Target Price of P59.35\/share.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

RRHI buys 100% of Premiumbikes Corp<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

RRHI will be paying P146.4-Million to acquire Premiumbikes Corp. from Lance Gokongwei. As of 2024, Premiumbikes\u2019 network of 214 stores, selling motorcycle brands such as Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, Kawasaki, TVS, and Kymco, booked P4.17-Billion in sales (+15.2% YoY) with an EBITDA of P324.2-Million (+36.7% YoY). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Motorcycle sales outpace passenger car sales<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

From January to May 2025, motorcycle sales posted a growth of 8.31% YoY to 746,016 from 688,790 in the previous year. Initially, motorcycle sales in January 2025 experienced a 15.07% YoY growth followed by mid-to-high single digit growth in the following months heading into May 2025. Using the same timeframe, car sales only grew 1.73% and is significantly slower than that of motorcycle sales. Furthermore, passenger car sales also slumped in growth in April and May 2025 despite the strong start in January which saw a 10.41% growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although, this is already given as motorcycles are much more affordable and easier to get a loan for versus cars. Moreover, the motorcycle market has much more latent potential as well given the comparison to regional peers as Philippine motorcycle ownership remains low at eight people per bike, compared to 4:1 in Indonesia and Vietnam and 3:1 in Thailand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
