While the extent of the possible implications is not quantifiable, we retain our HOLD rating with our target price (TP) at Php12.90.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:26px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Analysis and Opinion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Uncertainties<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Emperador Inc. (EMI) produces in the PH, Spain, Scotland, and Mexico, and exports its products to over 55 countries worldwide, with the US a key market as exports amounted to $13.3 billion in 2023. With the upcoming tariff policy set by Trump, the company is expected to take a hit as the impact of higher costs and selling prices may weigh on consumer demand. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Earnings preview<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company posted a 29% year-on-year (y\/y) decline in 9-months (9M) 2024 net income amid the industry slowdown in scotch whisky and brandy and the tough trading situations in China and the US. Despite expectations of a slight improvement in 4Q 2024 amid seasonality, we believe overall softened demand will weigh on 2024 numbers.
