While significant concerns continue to remain rampant due to trade war escalations, geopolitical tensions, and potential construction delays, the significant improvement in construction, real estate, and landport operations, as well as the government\u2019s P1.54 trillion budget for infrastructure projects, may prop up MWIDE in the following years. With this, we are maintaining our BUY rating, with a Target Price of P2.92\/share.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Analysis and Opinion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Steady construction operations and lower costs brought Megawide Construction Corporation (MWIDE)\u2019s bottomline up with a +73% year-on-year (y\/y) jump in Net Income (NI) to P574 million. Consolidated revenues also saw an uptick of growth by +5% y\/y to P16.3 billion, due to higher contributions from their construction and real estate segments. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Construction revenues amounted to P15.5 billion, as robust construction activities and steady progress accomplishments were seen in its existing order book. New projects amounted to P8.9 billion, involving various sites for Citicore\u2019s solar power capacity expansion and CP-104 of the Metro Manila Subway System project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Real estate operations amounted to P440mn in revenues due to ongoing projects, such as My Enso Lofts, The Hive, Northscapes, Modan Lofts, and One Lancaster Park. On the other hand, landport operations generated P386 million in revenues from commercial spaces, +14% y\/y. PITX saw a record growth in monthly traffic to 159k, with 92% commercial area occupancy, and a 41% office towers occupancy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MWIDE\u2019s construction segment is estimated to benefit from increased government spending on infrastructure, as well as ongoing projects and recently secured contracts. Despite the recent POGO exodus, the firm\u2019s landport ops are likely to be supported by increasing traffic and passenger spending, as well as rising commercial and office occupancy. As of 9M24, the firm\u2019s tenant mix wholly consists of non-POGO tenants, the largest percentages being BPOs and government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
