Robinsons Land Corp. (RLC) raised P6.2 billion after selling a portion of its stake in real estate investment trust company RL Commercial REIT Inc (RCR).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

RLC sold 1.043 billion RCR shares via an overnight block placement, the company said in a disclosure to the stock exchange Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The shares were priced at P5.95 apiece, a 5.7-percent discount to RCR\u2019s closing price of P6.31 Thursday. The shares were sold to high-quality long-only institutional investors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The placement increased RCR\u2019s public float to 6.69 billion common shares, equivalent to 42.57 percent of the total issued and outstanding common shares of the company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

REIT firms are required to maintain a public float of at least 33 percent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

BPI Capital Corp. acted as the placement agent, bookrunner and underwriter for this transaction while Picazo Buyco Tan Fider & Santos acted as transaction counsel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
