Macro headwinds and inflation concerns continue to weigh upon the company, however, MEG\u2019s continued growth and expansions in all business segments due to increased construction activity, high occupancy rates, and MICE growth, as well as improving tourism and foot traffic in AGI\u2019s F&B and retail space, could contribute to the firm\u2019s topline performance in the following years. Considering this, we maintain our BUY recommendation for AGI with a Target Price of P7.17\/share.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Analysis and Opinion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Higher contributions from real estate and hospitality segments, as well as quick-service restaurants resulted in a healthy topline performance for Alliance Global Group, Inc. (AGI), with revenues and other income jumping by +7.45% year-onm-year (y\/y) to P161.6 billion. However, increased operational costs, weaker demand from key markets, and a highly competitive landscape resulted in a slight dip in net profit by -0.44% y\/y to P20.05 billion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stronger real estate sales continued to boost MEG\u2019s Net Income (NI), as increasing foot traffic and high occupancy rates led to increased contributions from hotel and mall operations, while office rentals remained steady.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

EMI\u2019s brandy segment felt a general dampening in demand, as consumers continued to shift to value brands, while the scotch whisky segment continued to be weighed down by trading difficulties between China and the US.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The sustained rise in tourism and MICE activities contributed to higher revenues for Travellers, while lower GGR and win rates led to a slight contraction in net gaming revenues. GADC\u2019s ongoing store expansions resulted in higher sales revenues, yet higher inventory and personnel costs lowered its attributable profit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Current geopolitical tensions and trade war escalations from President Trump\u2019s proposed tariffs continue to spark concerns regarding global construction costs and potential delays, as well as tighter margins for food & beverage, retail, and real estate sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
