RCB delivered strong 2024 results, with total revenue rising +20.1% year-on-year (y\/y) to P90.2 billion, supported by a +26.4% y\/y increase in net interest income and an improved net interest margin (NIM) of 3.88%. Loan growth remained solid at P710.6 billion, driven by demand across corporate, SME, and consumer segments. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, the NPL ratio inched up to 4.31%, prompting a double-digit increase in provisions for credit losses. ROE softened to 6.03% from 9.53% due to higher capex and operational expenses, while CAR remained strong at 16.2%, ensuring financial stability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The BSP\u2019s decision to keep rates unchanged impacts RCB\u2019s interest rate environment, but a potential 200bp reserve requirement cut could support liquidity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
