(SPNEC), which is controlled by Manuel V. Pangilinan-led Manila Electric Co., has pledged its shares in Terra Solar Philippines Inc. (TSPI) and Terra Nueva Inc. (TNI) as collateral to secure financing for the ambitious Terra Solar project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This move, which was approved during a special stockholders\u2019 meeting on Thursday, Jan. 16., ensures lenders have guaranteed assets tied to the repayment of project loans, bolstering financial confidence in the venture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Terra Solar, with an estimated P200 billion project cost, is set to become the world\u2019s largest solar and battery storage facility.
