(PHR) disclosed that its subsidiary &#8211; PH Travel and Leisure Holdings Corp. executed a term sheet on December 8, 2023 for an exclusive partnership with Okada Manila\u2019s operator &#8211; Tiger Resort Leisure &amp; Entertainment, Inc. (\u201cTRLEI\u201d) &#8211; to complete PHR\u2019s partially developed Emerald Bay Resort and Casino in Mactan, Cebu. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Details regarding the transaction&#8217;s terms and conditions will be revealed upon the execution of the definitive agreements, which are subject to negotiation and execution. Notably, the Emerald Bay Resort project is set to feature a five-star hotel situated alongside 300 meters of beachfront. The project includes two 15-storey towers housing a total of 642 rooms, 4 pools, 18 retail areas, dining establishments, conference and exhibition facilities, and a large-scale gaming floor equipped with over 700 electronic gaming machines and more than 140 tables.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Our View:<\/strong> The partnership between PHR and TRLEI is mutually beneficial. For PHR, this collaboration with TRLEI will help position Emerald Bay Resort as a symbol and catalyst for the development of Cebu as the focal point of the Visayan tourism market in the Philippines. Meanwhile, for TRLEI, this new venture aligns seamlessly with their strategic goal of expanding their presence in the Philippines, building upon their notable success with Okada Manila. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While a final deal has yet to be reached, the parties expect to finalize their definitive agreements by July 2024, unless otherwise extended. Nevertheless, the casino is poised to be completed and opened by 2026.
