Despite posting momentary improvement last March, both exports and imports once again resumed their slide in April. Manufactured goods, which accounted for the biggest share of exports at 79.4%, declined by 16.5% as demand in China remained anemic. Meanwhile on the imports side, the erosion stemmed mainly from weaker imports of raw materials (-18.9%) and capital goods (-11.9%), which could suggest that inventory and capacity buildup among corporates remains mild.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Not good for DNL<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Muted activity should continue to weigh on DNL&#8217;s upside in terms of share price movement. As it currently stands, it would be difficult for DNL to reach its target of a 50% revenue contribution from exports.
