(CAMPI) and the Truck Manufacturers Association (TMA) yesterday. The number of vehicles sold in May is the highest single month total during the last 5 years. The first 5 months of May is tracking slightly ahead of 2017, when the total vehicles sold during the year reached 425,521 units.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) accounted for 46.5% of the total auto market followed by Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corp. with 18% market share.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Our View: <\/strong>TMP&#8217;s parent company, GT Capital Holdings (GTCAP), remains to be the only way to capitalize on the sector\u2019s strength and we think the recent share price weakness due to foreign outflow could be a catalyst to complete your allocations in GTCAP. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our thesis for GTCAP\u2019s margin recovery remains intact supported by the stable Philippine Peso against the US Dollar which has been complemented by the strength of the Philippine Peso against the Japanese Yen.
