(MONDE) from the MSCi Standard index will be implemented on Wednesday, May 31, 2023. An equivalent of US$71 million are estimated to be sold by funds tracking the MSCi Philippines index.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other names that are expected to see significant outflows as well are JGS, SMPH, TEL, ALI and AEV.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Our View: <\/strong>The passive selling on Wednesday will likely pull the index lower given the index heavyweights that are expected to get sold down during the last 10 minutes of the trading session.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The PSEi has been stuck in a range between 6,700 \u2013 6,400 during the past 3 months and is seen to stay in this range for the time being. A range trading strategy is still appropriate.
