The index closed +0.13% higher at 7,052.16 — surprisingly still above the psychological 7k support. It continues to post higher lows overall, cementing its upward trend channel and boosting hopes for a positive mid-term outlook. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, note that while indicators are still showing bullish pressures, MACD signal lines are mid-crossover to a sell alarm. With RSI still near the overbought region, we expect a bit more profit-taking in the very short-term. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Note, as well, that the index is trading above its median line — meaning it is still trading at a relative premium to near-term historical prices. A lot of investors are still probably sitting on gains. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 7,100.00 resistance seems to be a strong one for now, so it would be prudent to sell on any rallies toward that and reposition below the median line, at the PSEI\u2019s lower channels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
