We note that catalysts for the return to profitability would be the strengthening domestic currency, the downtrend in jet fuel prices (-11.48% vs 1 year ago), and the continued ramp up in CEB\u2019s capacity and flight network to pre-pandemic levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to this, the gradual return of travel in China, particularly during the lunar new year, would have also likely provided further stimulus to passenger volumes for first quarter (1Q) 2023. On the flipside though, we see some potential downside risks pertaining to jet fuel that may dampen quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) earnings growth. Notably, prices for January have once again risen relative to the prior month. Additionally, oil refining margins (WTI 3-2-1 crack spread) have reached a 3-month high of USD42\/barrel which may further spur an increase in the cost of jet fuel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:26px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:16px\"><em><em>This report is prepared by PinoyInvestor\u2019s partner broker below.
