(AboitizPower) will no longer supply power to electricity distributor Manila Electric Co. (Meralco) as their emergency power supply agreement (EPSA) ended on Wednesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:26px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Analysis and Recommendation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>MER will now be sourcing its requirement of 670MW from the WESM. This could push WESM prices further which is currently at P7-level and is projected to move higher near P9-level over second quarter (2Q) 2023. The main beneficiaries would be SCC (Target Price: P44.00) and AP (Target Price: P38.90) given their significant spot exposure \u2014 for the latter its exposure could be much higher since the 670-MW EPSA has already lapsed. As of 9-month (9M) 2022, sold portion of energy output to the spot market accounted for 56% and 19% of SCC and AP, respectively.
