Looks like the index is still on vacation, since it closed nearly unchanged at 6,586.01\u2014up by just +0.30%. It\u2019s trading very faithfully between its weekly range of 6,500.00 to 6,600.00 still. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Indicators are mixed, supportive of sustained sideways movement. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

One thing that the index has going for itself is that the consolidation has managed to pull up its MAs. It is now forming a potential golden cross (between its MA50 and MA100) which should prompt a breakout. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Keep in mind, however, that the resistance at 6,800.00 could very easily cap any rally. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The key is for the index to continue maintaining a position above its MA200 for it to sustain a mid-term uptrend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Support: 6,300.00 \/ 6,000.00.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Resistance: 6,800.00 \/ 6,900.00.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
